Mediaplayer 11 thinks it is Part of AOL now adds a componet alled URGE to buy things I do not get software that has BEG Softwarein it how in the hell can I remove it from media player 11 do not want it there is this the crap Microsoft is going to do to us now should have an option to unstall it or do I need to just use the media player I made my self

URGE (Mediaplayer Eleven )
The URGE service is not part of AOL, it is a thing setup by Microsoft and MTV as a store meant to compete with the iTunes store and is part of WMP11. You can't remove it and I don't see why this is such a big deal as you don't have to do anything with URGE if you're using WMP, I consider iTunes to be much worse with their integrated music store and the default setup of things. ---------- Mark Dietz PROnetworks <http://www.pro-networks.org>

I've used WMP11 very little during testing as I like winamp/mediamonkey more, however, when I do use it, I only get the "buy this" stuff when I actually go to URGE. It could just be that I haven't used it enough to see it though. ---------- Mark Dietz PROnetworks <http://www.pro-networks.org>

Adjust your settings to not automatically sign in to URGE.

Luckily Urge doesn`t show up on mine. I take it this is a good thing? Steve

URGE does nothing of the sort. It is a store. I shows you goods to buy. However it doesnt show you anything if you do not click on it in the first place.
Go away Larry.
